On my '02 Dakota the PCV valve is on the driver's side valve cover. .

What's a PVC? Perhaps you mean PCV (Positve Crankcase Ventilation) valve.
If you have a 3.3L the PVC valve is located under the alternator.
It goes in the side of the housing with the oil filler cap on to.

First off PVC is a pipe... the correct term would be PCV. Your PCV valve should be on the driver side valve cover. All you have to do is pop it off carefully & replace it with the new valve. Just bought one for a 1987 Dakota 3.9V6 was only like $15.00.
