I want to assume this is a GM 3.1L because they are very common. Look at the left hand valve cover. There should be a PCV valve jammed into it.
If you are facing the engine, it is on the right side attached to the motor. If you are facing the engine, it is on the right side attached to the motor.
@ very back of engine. Inline (in a hose) directly under throttle body (look for two hose clamps). Between that and a fitting in back left corner of engine (behind fuel pressure regulator).
Probably not.
Usually no, since the V6 will be of a larger diameter, and the shape may not fit with the V6 engine.
The engine might fit the space, but unlikely with match up with the transmission linkage.
It depends on if it is a I4 or the V6. The inline 4 PVC valve is located on the side of the engine block, under the intake manifold. The V6 PVC valve in the valve cover of the cylinder bank next to the firewall. It is on the driver's side, near the throttle body. You can follow the rubber hose from the intake manifold down to the PVC valve. The Valve has a tab that locates it when it is screwed in/installed.
Note that a 2.8L engine is a V6 and has two valve covers. Did you try looking at the other valve cover? == == == == IT'S ON THE VALVE COVER WHERE THEY ALWAYS ARE. I have this car and it is not there!
The PVC valve is in the valve cover.
do you have the 3.0 V6 12 valve engine, or the 3.0 V6 24 valve DOHC engine? 3.0 v6 12 valve
The PCV valve is located/inserts into the front valve cover(v6) and is connected to a rubber hose.
On the V6 the PVC valve is located on the drivers side rocker arm cover. Unsure about the I-4, but it should be on the rocker arm cover also.
On my 2000 Ford Explorer Sport 5-speed manual transmission 4.0L V6 OHV, the PVC valve is located as follows: Standing in the front of the vehicle looking at the right side of the engine on the top of the valve cover. It was stuck down in the valve cover with a tube running from it to the intake manifold. Hope this helps you out!!
On a 2001 Ford Explorer Sport Trac : Yes , the Single Over Head Cam 4.0 litre V6 engine does have a PCV valve I believe it is on the REAR of the drivers side engine valve cover ( between the valve cover and the firewall )
try looking at the valve cover underneath the intake. that's where I found mine on my 89 V6.
You will find it (the PVC valve) in the same place as you would on a 1995 Lebaron 3.0. I own a 1990 Chrysler lebaron 3.0 v6 and found the PVC valve in the same spot. Look up where to find the PVC valve on a 1995 lebaron 3.0 on this site. Best of luck.
FOLLOW PVC HOSE FROM AIR CLEANER TO BACK LEFT SIDE OF ENGINE BEHIND CARB IT SLIPS INTO MANIFOLD
According to the Haynes repair manual, the PCV valve is in the valve cover with it being on the driver's side cover in the V6 engine block. Don't confuse it with the hose from the air cleaner located on the passenger side valve cover on the V6 engine. On the 4 cylinder engine, it's located in the oil separator on the top back left side of the engine block (left being the driver's side). On the 2.5 L 4 Cylinder engine it is located below the intake manifold on the driver side of the engine (between the number one and number two spark plug). The hose to the PVC valve connects to the inside of the upper intake manifold and goes down to the valve through the bottom of the intake manifold. It connects to the top of the oil seperator which is just in front of the oil filter.
