In most cases it should be under an access cover on the end of the trans. Raise the front of the vehicle, remove the front driver's side tire, remove the wheel well access cover and you should see the solenoid cover. Please note: you will need high temp "form a gasket" to re-install the access cover once you've replaced the tcc solenoid.
where is the shift solenoid valve (2-3) located on 2000 chev cavalier
On the chevy solenoid, you may be looking for the shift solenoid, and wondering where it is. The shift solenoid on this car is located inside the motor.
It is attached to the starter.
The solenoid/starter motor assembly is installed on the lower part of the engine next to the transmission bellhousing
The 1990 Chevrolet Corsica TCC transmission solenoid is located on the top of the transmission. The solenoid will be near the back of the transmission.
The 2004 Chevy Cavalier transmission dipstick will be on the left-hand side of the transmission. The transmission dipstick will have a bright yellow handle.
It is in the transmission itself.
There is more than one solenoid and they are accessible by dropping the transmission oil pan.
The purge valve solenoid on your 2001 Chevy Cavalier is located on the side of the engine. It is mounted on the block right below the intake manifold and can be distinguished because of the bracket attached to it.
It is bolted in the transmission valve body. You will have to remove the transmission pan to get to it.
Not sure what size engine or trans you have, but on my 98 2.4 cavalier the solenoid is actually located inside the transmission. You can access it by removing the trans inspection cover on the drivers side of the transmission. If this is the case with your car you should still be able to research the circular plug that attaches all the wiring to the trans and figure out which two wires to disconnect.
