the abs fuse is under the hood on driver side
on My 1995 limited the fuse is red and it is #14 in the fuse panel if you remove the fuse the yellow abs light on your dash board will stay on .....
You don't mention what year of Ford Explorer Sport Trac but there will be more than one fuse for the ABS ( in the fuse panel and the power distribution box ) You can view the Ford Explorer Sport Trac owners manuals online at : www . motorcraft service . com ( no spaces ) Click on Owner Guides
If you want to just disable the ABS then you can pull out the fuse for the ABS relay. The only thing is the ABS light will show on the dash.
What I did was find the correct fuse for for the ABS motor and remove the fuse . the abs light will stay on but this did it for me. or find the motor just in front of the master cylinder and unplug it.
My 1995 Ford Explorer XLT has 4 fuses for the ABS system - 2 in the fuse panel and 2 in the power distribution box in the engine compartment
A 2007 Ford Explorer would have 4 wheel ABS ( Anti-lock Brake System )
ABS stands for Automatic Braking System. The ABS light in a 1997 Ford Explorer will come on when this braking system is activated.
