I want to know where the low and high pressure ac sensors are on a 1993 camaro
It is either on the compressor, the smaller ac line, or the accumulator.
It is a low pressure AC clutch cut out switch. It keeps the compressor from running if the system is low or empty of freon.
i like carrots do you
it does not have a high pressure switch all it has is a evaporator temp sensor/switch.
All that you need to do is unscrew if from the suction side and replace it...........
No...That sensor is a pressure sensor.(located next to the condensor) It will not let the compressor run if the pressure is to low or to high,so the compressor wont be damaged. If it is unplugged the compressor wont come on at all.
The Refrigerant Pressure Sensor / Switch will be located just to the left of the alternator pulley on the firewall....
the high pressure sensor is mounted on the back of the a/c compressor with a snap ring and sealed with an "o" ring.
Check the refrigerant pressure. There is a sensor that detects the pressure of the refrigerant. If the pressure is not high enough the compressor will never engage.
Unplug the low side pressure sensor and run a jumper wire between the two terminals.
On the front of the engine, under the intake manifold, behind the ac compressor.
