A simple Question with a not so simple answer. The air bag [ SRS supplementary restraint system ] light would be on if there is a failed function test of the [srs] system. Faults including, accident, electrical short to sensor, seat belt tension er fault, [srs] electronic control unit fault and many more.
'Now the difficult part'.
You need a scanner which has a strong programing list of American cars and scan the vehicle through the OBD 2 connector. not all scanners have the applications to interact with your specific vehicle. Scan the fault and try to clear the malfunction with the scanner. Every time you turn on your car the [SRS] electronic control unit does a self Test if the test is good the [srs] light is extinguished, if the light stays on then there is a fault in the system

There is no button. The air bag will turn on/off automatically when someone with the required weight is sitting in the seat. If your engine is running when someone sits in that seat and the air bag doesn't reset itself just turn the car off and when you restart it it should reset.
