Larger line from A/C compressor is the low pressure line
The large line is generally the low pressure side.

the low pressure side is usually the line that is the thickest. the thinner line is the high side.
The 1990 Mitsubishi does not have an air conditioning recharge line. The vehicle has an air conditioning recharge port. You can recharge your air conditioning system through the low pressure port on the air conditioning compressor.
The Freon is added through the low side ac port. Using a gauge and the proper type Freon, fill the system to the recommended pressure. Too low or too high Freon pressure will result in the system not operating properly.
On the line right at the compressor.

You will want to use the low pressure side, cap is marked with an L
the low pressure line is always the biggest diameter line hooked to the compressor. should be a fitting that looks like a valve stem on that line.
