The airbag light can be reset by resetting the entire control display on most cars. This is the same for a Z3 BMW.
I do not think so. I presume your light will not go out. The only airbag sensor is located in the airbag module (controller). Every other airbag connection is monitored for sort or open circuits My theory is the tester sat in the drivers seat during the test and twisted round in such a way to make the seat sensor or its wiring fail. You could check for an loose connector under the drivers seat. However to extinguish the light the faults will have to be cleared by an airbag scan tool.
No, it's not in the seat, it's in the dashboard in front of the passenger.
The standard 2001 BMW z3 Coupe does not have a switch to turn off the airbags. However, you can have this switch installed by the dealer as an upgrade.
The sensor is located at the front of the engine near the oil filter housing. To the left of the housing. 2.5 Z3
In the trunk.
You mean the brake wire? Which one?
There is no cabin filter on this car.
there is a bypass module u can purchase off eBay or elsewhere. Its a simple connection that works with any pioneer video system. I found a website that offers a guide with no module needed. Check it out at http://www.underground-secret.com/pioneer_avic_z3_bypass.HTML I bought a guide for my Pioneer AVIC Z3. Bypass worked great. If you want I can share the guide.
In the trunk, right side, under the carpet/floor.
According to the haynes manual it is under the glovbox on the blower box but it isn't theres in a 1998 BMW z3 and i am trying to research the location
On my 1998 Z3 it is under the hood, by the passenger side hood hinge. You'll see all the cables headed for that location. Three screws on the cover to release.
