The antenna is built into the rear glass. Most problems with am/fm reception are usually due to a faulty am/fm amplifier. The am/fm amplifier is behind the drivers side c-pillar. Sometimes if you just unplug all wiring going to the amp and make sure the 10mm bolts holding it down are tight it will improve reception. Doing this just removes any corrosion at the electrical connectors and the bolts are the ground. By the way the amp is bright green so it's easy to spot. Good luck.
