There isn't one apparently you have to take it to Renault and they have to put it on diagnostics machine.
if you sit at the front of the car the filler hole will be on the right just at the back of the box.

You Have to remove the gearbox oil sump than you will see a square oil filter.
Assuming that this is a manual gearbox most Renault models have a plastic butterfly bolt located on the front of the gearbox this is the filler/level plug
No dipstick for the auto box on a 92 525 there is a filler plug on the side of the box similar to the filler on a manual box.

Filler/level plug is located on the gearbox very similar to a manual box filler/level plug there is no dipstick fitted to this model.

Undo the filler plug. The fluid should be level with the hole. Test by inserting your finger. Top up until it trickles from the filler hole.
If you are referring to the automatic transmission - - looking at the engine compartment from the grille area - it is way down on the lower left side of the engine. Look hard and you'll find the dipstick and filler tube down there.

If the car is an automatic it doesnt have a dip stick. The correct level is when it is filled to the bottom of the top most lug hole (the filler one).
