Open the hood and find the exhaust pipe dead center of the engine, follow it down until you see a PLUG sticking out the side with a wire comin' off of it... That's the sensor. Word of advice, get the proper tool for removing this sensor. It is a simple 'slot cut' socket which allows you to install this without damaging the wire; or maybe use a crecent wrench if you can get it to fit, but I doubt it.
It will be on the back side of the engine where the distributor used to be on older engines.

The 1999 Chevy Suburban camshaft sensor is located on the front of the engine. The camshaft sensor will be behind the front engine cover.

The 1992 Chevy 3500 temperature sensor is located on the front of the engine. The temperature sensor will be in the vicinity of the thermostat housing.
If you have the V-6 engine it is on the side of the engine block closest to the firewall just above the oil pan about 2 inches up and about middle of the block. This is the crankshaft sensor this car does not have a camshaft sensor On the 4 cylinder it is below the coil pack same side of the engine as the V-6. And again this is a crankshaft sensor not a camshaft sensor. Hope this helps
