The battery is on the right side, if you are standing in front of the vehicle looking under the hood. It has a metal and plastic top to it, with something that looks like a handle over three small boxes, which are gray, metal, and blue in color (if I remember correctly). It is directly in front of the fuse box, which has a black cover to it that has a red positive sign on it. This is where your positive battery connection is. I have yet to find the negative battery ground is. A note: it is EXTREMELY difficult to change the battery out on the 2006 Pontiac Torrent. I'm STILL trying to get the bolts off!! other user :
TO BOOST YOU TORRENT : just remove the tree screw of the black plastic cab .... the battery is just under you ll see easyly the positive and the négative ... its not to complicated to change de batterie
