I have a '92, should be the same...
The battery is under the rear seats. Right side. On the '92, you pull up on the front of the base of the rear seat ( the part where your bottom and legs go, not the part where your back goes ). Carefull not to pull off the plastic thingys near the seat belts, I still have not figured out how to get mine back on.
