i just had the outer tie rods changed in my 1998 sebring convertable, it costs 65 for each rod, and the charge about 60 a side, total was about $250.00

Exactly what it came with from the factory. Yup, yup. You need to use the same engine that came out of a JXI. The coupe and convertables are 2 totally different cars. The LXI is considered to be the coupe, and they have a Mitsubishi engine in them, while the convertable have a Chrysler engine in it.
