it is mounted on your brake valve under hood driver side, 2" round switch 2-3 wires on top of it, Replace this and I'm sure this will solve your problem---Your switch is positioned behind your brake petal. If you look at your pedal you will see a little box shape with a plunger that goes in when breaks are applied and turns on brake lights when pedal is depressed it deactivates thew lights . The arm on the pedal pushes against the switch to activate or deactivate it.
