It is located above and behind the brake pedal, on the linkage attached to the pedal itself. The switch attaches to a PIN connected to another linkage going through the back wall (or firewall) in front of the driver's feet.
The switch is held in place by a Yellow Carter Pin that can be pulled out by hand - BUT - study the assembly first with a flashlight as when you PULL the
Carter Pin out and try to remove the switch, there are 2 plastic Teflon type
rings (one black and one white) that will slide off the main PIN connecting the linkages. So getting it all back together can be difficult - leading to the need to visit the dealership in order to get a computer sketch of the proper orientation of the assembly.

could very well be brake switch on back of brake pedal. it is located at the top back off pedal, or it could be out of adjustment. check and see if power to back lamps, if not check brake switch.
