I have a '97 chev. truck and the fuel filter is mounted to the inside of the frame directly below the cab on the drivers side
Doesn't have a cabin filter.
GM phased out the in cab air filter in 2004. No filter to change on the 2005 model year. Napa still sells them, but their database of parts is flawed.
YES they will bolt right in.
You can look up in the frame rail on the driver's side behind the cab and see if it is there. If it's not then it is inside of the fuel tank. GM. moved the fuel filter from the frame to the fuel tank in 2004. Bad deal.
If it is under the year 2004 then you will find it up inside of the drivers side frame rail towards the end of the cab. You will have to slide in under the truck and look inside of the frame rail too see it. If it is over 2004 then it will be INSIDE of the fuel tank.
The fuel filters use to be on the frame rail until 2004, After 2004 Chevy started putting them inside of the fuel tank. Now you have to remove the fuel tank to get to the filter. It was to easy when they had them on the frame rail.
no they didnt start till year 2000 on the Chevy pickups its located on the passengerside under glove box
the fuel filter is on the frame underneath the body about the cab area inside the frame, it is about the size of a redbull popcan..
It is up in the driver's side frame rail behind the cab. You will have to slide up under the truck to see it.
paenger side floor board has a plastic and foam cover on it
That would be the 4L60E / 4L65E transmission.
V6....5 QTS with a new filter. V8....6 QTS with a new filter.
how do i doit is their any special ways how to doit
You can check up in the frame rail on the drivers side just behind the cab. You will have to slide up under the truck and look up in the frame to see it. You might get lucky and find it there. But in 2004 Chevy moved the fuel filter from the frame rail and installed it in the fuel tank. Depends on what month of 2004 it was built.
I have a 2002 1500 extended cab silverado, it holds 24 gallons. 2004 should be close if not the same.
Yes if you can find a good cab.
Inside the left side rail just under the drivers side door.
It is up in the frame rail under the truck just behind the cab. Drivers side.
if you take the VIN number to a chev dealer they will look it up for you
Gm. use to put the filter up in the drivers side frame rail just behind the cab. It is close to were the transmission crossmember bolts to the frame. You will have to lay up under the truck to see it. You can look there, But in 2005 GM. started putting the fuel filter inside of the fuel tank. You can either remove the bed to service it or just pull the fuel tank out to get to it.
In 2004 Chevy moved the fuel filter from the drivers side frame and started putting them inside of the fuel tank.
