I'm not a mechanic / technician but from what I have read
the Ford 4.0 liter EFI , V6 engine has the cam shaft position
sensor ( on top of the synchronizer ) located on the top of the engine ,
near the centerline , at the rear of the engine near the firewall
( apparently you can't see it without the upper intake manifold removed )
The 1998 Ford Ranger speed sensor ring can be located on the passenger wheel. The speed sensor ring will be on the inside of the brake rotor.
This engine has no turbine or turbo. Although the 1996 Ford Ranger does not have a turbine or turbo, it does have a turbine shaft speed (TSS) sensor. It is located inside the automatic transmission.
no
www. motorcraft. com ( no spaces ) does not list a MAP sensor for the 3.0 L in a 1998 Ford Ranger , there is an AIR MASS SENSOR listed which I assume is the same as a mass air flow sensor which would be located near your air filter housing
It should be in the tail shaft of the transmission. That's where mine is on 94 auto transmission.
Check the tail shaft of the transmission, if not their it is in the top of the diff housing, but that is mostly newer modles.
under the intake manifold on the driver side by the firewall
Where is the ford ranger 2004 revcounter sensor conected
I'M NOT A MECHANIC/TECHNICIAN , but my Chilton repair manual engine wiring schematic does not show a knock sensor on the 1998 Ford Ranger 3.0 L engine (Helpfull)
The camshaft position sensor is on top of the engine. It is on top of a shaft in the same place that older rangers had a distributor.
where is the cam shaft position sensor on a 98 ford explorer 4x4 4.0 sohc 4x4
What is the timing for a 1998 ford ranger 2.5l
