AMRITSAR IS THE CENTER OF SIKH RELIGION

That is RUDE AND THE CORRECT ANSWER IS AMRITSAR (so much for knowing about your religion)

The center of Sikhism is in Punjab. I know this since i am a Sikh myself and i obviously know about my religion. So the answer to your question is PUNJAB. If you do not know where that is well then get a life and look it up.

This is quite a difficult question to answer. All Sikh's believe in one God, without fear, without birth or death, immortal, self exsistant, the creator of all. God is known by the grace of the Guru. In Sikhism there are Ten Gurus. Guru Nanak, Guru Angad, Guru Amar Das, Guru Ram Das, Guru Arjan, Guru Hargobind, Guru Har Rai, Guru Har Krishnan, Guru Teg Bahadur, Guru Gobind Singh. Sikhs also follow the Guru Granth Sahib. The Guru Granth Sahib is a collection of writings. The first five Gurus all contributed to the Guru Granth Sahib, there are also contributions by Muslim and Hindu persons referred to as Sants. Despite the outward perception that the Guru Granth Sahib is a book it really is far more than this. The Guru Granth Sahib offers a path of enlightenment and salvation to the Sikh peoples.

In brief my understanding of the Sikh faith is that at the centre rests the Guru Granth Sahib, the teachings and the lives of the Ten Gurus (named above), Langar (an offering of food made available to all that come to the Gurdwara regardless of religion, gender, caste etc), Seva & Izzat (service to others), the Panth (the community of the Sikhs) and the Sangat (the congregation of the Sikhs).

This is a very basic explanation of the Sikh faith. If you would like to learn more I really recommend the Sikhtimes (an internet Sikh webpage).
