In my opinion, the cheapest suspension lift kit for a four leaf system is to just re-ark them. The ride does become a little stiffer but I don't think it's much. I just did my 1/2 ton and I think the ride is comparable to a 3/4. The rest of the parts I picked up from my local parts store. If you are looking to buy a kit outright, I would check out 4wheelparts.com. Read the listings carefully, because a lot of the parts you need are usually not in the kits. Some come with shocks, others don't. Some come with brake lines, steering drops, etc. Hope this helps and good luck.

I have a 1998 GMC Sierra 4wd with only a 3 inch body lift and are clearing 35 inch nitto tires and it has no suspension lift what so ever I have a 1999 2 door Tahoe with 3 inch body lift and keys cranked up and clearing 35/15.50/r15 tsl sx's with little cutting but rubbs when turning and flexing the front suspension.

yes you can if you go on quadratec.com and look up a 3 inch body lift it tells you that you can do it. From my personal knowledge a body lift is obviously just the body and does not mess with suspension at all.

cheapest for looks is a body lift, about $300 for the kit but for ground clearence, you really have no choice but to get a suspension lift, which if you have a 4x4 like i do, it's about $1600 for 3"
