It should have a circuit breaker in the fuse box.
There is only one circuit breaker to my knowledge and it is for the power windows. I have a 1968 Fleetwood and it is very similar. What exactly is the problem?
The 1988 Mercury Grand Marquis circuit breaker for the power windows can be found in the fuse box. The circuit breaker will be in the first column, third from the bottom.
Power Window Circuit BreakerI have a '83 280ZX and am also having power window problems. I was told by our local Nissan dealer service center, there is no fuse or circuit breaker for the power windows. There is a relay switch in the driver's door. None of my windows will let up or down. The switch cost is around $200. I am not sure about the '83 280zx, however on my '82 280zx there was a circuit breaker located in the passenger kick panel. You should see two screws above the fuse box which will remove a black unit that has the circuit breaker bolted onto it.(Just to verify) I also have a '83 280zx and yes thecircuit breaker is also located on the passenger kick.
Yes, the electric windows are connected to a circuit protection devise such as a fuse or circuit breaker.
It is a circuit breaker module located on the top of the fuse panel on the lower left side of the dashboard
Wont have a power window fuse. Power windows usually are controlled by a circuit breaker.
That circuit has a relay/circuit breaker not a fuse. Chances are you have a window motor with a dead short which is not allowing breaker to reset. Check the drivers side first; unplug it the window motor and see if the other windows come alive.
ITS SHOULN'T BE JUST A FUSE IT SHOULD HAVE A CIRCUIT BREAKER TOO. THE CIRCUIT BREAKER OPENS IF YOU HOLD THE SWITCH TOO LONG. ITS 20AMP ON MOST CARS THAT I WORKED ON. ITS IN THE FUSEPANEL ON MUSTANGS. GOOD LUCK PAUL G
Power windows are protected by an automatic resetting circuit breaker.
I am assuming for the windows. Its above the fuse box.
Either the fuse box under the dash, or under the hood on the driver side is another main fuse box.
