It's a cable operated clutch , not hydraulic , so there is no fluid

97 mustang gt has 215 horse power

Into the transmission fluid reservior

The clutch is cable operated on a 1996 Ford Mustang GT manual transmission As of May 14 , 2012 you can still view the 1996 Ford Mustang owners manual online at : www . motorcraft service . com ( no spaces ) Click on Owner Guides ( page 272 explains how to adjust the clutch cable )

I believe the 1997 Ford Mustang GT 4.6 litre V8 engine is rated at ( 215 horsepower from the factory )

no 64 1/2 all titled as 65 on

On the center console near the parking brake handle

Virtually all automobiles have a brake cylinder at each wheel (a "slave cylinder"). ========================================================== A 1997 Ford Mustang has a cable operated clutch so there is no clutch slave cylinder . To adjust the clutch - Without the engine running , put your transmission in 1st gear - put your foot under the clutch pedal and GENTLY pull the clutch pedal up until it stops - SLOWLY push the clutch pedal all the way down . If the clutch needed adjusting you will hear a click

On a 2005 Ford Mustang GT the automatic transmission does not have an automatic transmission fluid level dipstick ( and the manual transmission fluid level is checked underneath the vehicle at the transmission fill plug )

You can view the 2000 Ford Mustang owners manual online at : www . motorcraft service . com ( no spaces ) Click on Owner Guides ( the instructions for adjusting the clutch are on page 142 )

a 2005 mustang GT . You are talking about ford Shelby right?

A Ford Mustang GT would be a V8

For a 1997 Ford Mustang GT , 4.6 litre SOHC , V8 engine : ( it is rated at 215 horsepower from the factory )

The clutch fluid on all Escorts uses brake fluid from the brake fluid reservoir. The clutch master cylinder is just below the brake fluid master cylinder and is fed fluid from it. Make sure it doesn't run dry or you'll have to bleed the brakes.

The biggest difference is the Mustang GT has a V8 engine

No Ford Gt Is A Different Model The Mustang Is A Muscle Car And The GT Is A Sports.

There is no such thing as a 97 mustang boss, its just a regular mustang gt with a 4.6 ltre 2 valve single overhead cam engine rated at 215 horse power at the crank. All that is different is you an get a Larry Shinoda Boss sticker package added on to give it that boss look, other then that its just a GT.

The clutch is a cable based. There is no fluid and there is no clutch cylinder. To adjust the clutch cable slip your foot under the clutch pedal and lift up. If you hear it click it adjusted itself. If not then it did not need to be adjusted or the clutch is worn out and there is no adjustment left. ========================================================== Just adding to the answer : Without the engine running put the transmission in 1st gear After lifting up on the clutch pedal press the pedal DOWN , SLOWLY Then if you hear a click noise the clutch has adjusted itself

According to the 1997 Ford Mustang Owner Guide : ( DOT 3 brake fluid , meeting Ford specification ESA-M6C25-A )

The Mustang GT Auto takes around 14 quarts of fluid from empty. However, when drained, a large amount of fluid remains in the torque converter, which means a 'full' drain and refill will probably only take around 11 quarts.
