behind the thermostat housing,two wires
There's a coolant temperature sensor located on the lower part of the water pump on the drivers side.
It has 1 coolant sensor, 1 temperature sensor
12 deg btdc with coolant sensor unplugged
There are two on a 1994 Ram, one on each side of the thermostat housing. The one with one wire is for the temp gauge. The sensor with two wires is for the computer.
That is the coolant sensor. Not the one for the temperature gauge in the dash.
The coolant temperature sensor screws into the bottom of the radiator, and has two wires connected to it which have a quick relese plug....piece of cake
One the engine block on the 302 and 351's
There are two separate sensors that play here. the "coolant temperature sensor" and "coolant LEVEL sensor". I suggest confirming which of these was replaced, as it is very common for them to be confused. likely you will find the coolant sensor that was replaced was the one on the engine (temperature); The LEVEL sensor is mounted either in the coolant resivoir or in the radiator. Probably just need the proper sensor replaced.
It is screewed into the intake manifold right beside the thermostat housing.
The temperature sensor is located on the top of the engine, near fuel filer. Someone told me that there is two of them, one for the PCM and one for the cluster but I didn't found the other one.
What size engine? on my 1993 2.5 it is direcly behind the coil on the front of the engine.
