I have an 88 110 too, a Saudi Arabian model. Are you located in the states?

The temp sender should be located on the front of the intake manifold (big molded metal thing between the cylinder heads that the carbs are mounted to). The thermostat housing will be in the lower center front of the manifold with two temp sensors leading out but these are not the ones you want. You want the temp sensor that is actually bolted into the manifold on one of the sides. The sensor is most likely be an M16X1.5 threaded sensor with a single electrical lead coming out of it, but you will need to look at your existing sender to be sure.

Also, make sure you have a towel handy and something to plug the hole with so that you don't leak coolant all over your engine bay when you remove the old sensor.

Go to www.d-90.com and look at the VDO installation thread in the forums if you need any more assistance with the sensor swap.
