Where is the coolant temperature sensor located on a 1998 ZX2?

There are two sensors for coolant on the thermostat housing. One on the top that tells the fan to come on and one on the bottom out of sight you can barely get to that signals temp at dash. Just replaced both on my 1998 Escort zx2. Take off the t-stat housing to get to the one on the bottom. One was 20.00, the other 25.00 at Auto Zone.
