Where is the coolant temperature sensor located on a 2003 4.2 liter envoy?

It is located behind the alternator on my 2004 and would think would be the same for yours. Kind of a pain to get at due to a plastic wire raceway that is partially in the way and a few other items need to be removed to take off the alternator. Now that I changed my sensor my thermostat needs to be replaced.
