You can find the crank sensor on the back of your 1993 3.4 liter engine. You will need to remove the rear engine cover in order to access the crankshaft sensor.
That year did not USE a Crank sensor.
NO. A crank sensor are cam sensor was not introduced until the year 1996.
if it doesnt have a crankshaft sensor then you have a distributer pick up. Its under your distributer cap.
In the bottom of the distributor under coil.
If the 93 Stealth came with a crank sensor but it does not have one now, then it will not start. The sensor shows the ignition coil when to send power to the spark plugs.
SENSOR not center. It reads the revolutions of the crank shaft to tell the computer how fast it's spinning.
Passenger side of the bell housing, just behind the engine.
Did yOu ever find the speed sensor? What was the problem befor changing it
There is not a camshaft sensor on the '93 3.1 Lumina, just a crank sensor on the back side of the engine between the block and the barrel of the transaxle. Easy enough to get to from underneath the car.
on 2.3l It is on the front of the motor under the intake manifold next to the starter.
The crank sensor is located on the back engine wall in the middle, just under the two coil packs (from where the spark plug wires come). There is a wire harness from the crank sensor to the module which holds the two coil pack. The crank sensor is held into the engine by a single bolt. To see all of this, you have to go under the car. I am having an intermittent no start problem with my 93 Cavalier (it cranks, but no spark at all) and I think the crank sensor is my problem.
All Northstars have 2 crank sensors, there are located just to the side of the oil filter adapter & behind the front motor mount. I strongly you forget about figuring out which one is sensor A & which is sensor B. Replace both! 93-99 are the same part number for both sensors & are interchangeable. 2000+ have 2 different part numbers for each sensor & are not interchangeable with the 93-99 sensor.
