look just behind the downpipe of the exhaust manifold. right at the 2 oclock position of the bellhousing top on a 4.0 when looking at it from front of the car, yes its behind the lip at the hardest place to get to. or access from under the car. i prefer the tip though.

∙ 14y agoThe crank sensor is located on the rear side of trans bell housing on the upper drivers side where the engine and trans meet. You can follow the sen wires from the 3 prong connector that is mounted to a metal bracket by a plastic ribbed pull connector located on the back pass side intake manifold closest to the fire wall rite on the top. Unplug and follow the 3 wires they go down back behind the engine to the mounting location of the crank sensor on the back of the bell housing.
