How do i find out if the coil wire is bad on a 350 small block?
If you don't have a known good coil wire to substitute, try hooking a spark plug to the coil wire and grounding it to the engine. Then crank the engine to see if there is spark.
How do tell if a engine is getting spark?
Remove the spark plug wire from the spark plug. Wearing heavy gloves or usinf insulated piers, hold the wire about 1/4 inch from the engine block. Crank the engine in short bursts and look for a spark to jump between the end of the wire to the engine block.
