To replace the crankshaft positioning sensor on a 1989 Ford Sho Taurus, go near the water pump at the front of the car and remove components that block access to the sensor. Remove the two bolts holding the sensor in place remove the wire that sends data. Finally, replace the crankshaft positioning sensor.
the fan sensor will be located underneath the distributor it should be a 2 wire plug and the sensor itself should be screwed into the head
probably one located just after the engine on the exhaust. by now this sensor will be stuffed
The crankshaft sensor is located on the side of the block below the exhaust manifold on the firewall side of the engine. It is held in by a single bolt. Access is quite tight but it can be replaced with the engine in the car.
