Not all Sunfires have a transmission dipstick, however my '96 does.
It's located back near the firewall, more or less under the brake
fluid reservoir. It has a yellow handle.
in the trunk or under your back seat
My 96 Sunfire has no red cap, it has a regular dipstick. You'll want to find a small funnel. The fluid goes where the dipstick is supposed to be. I would also go to the parts store and get a new dipstick.
There is no Tranny dipstick on 1996 and newer malibus
Some early model Sunfires have a dipstick. In my '96, the dipstick is located near the firewall, down and inboard from the brake fluid reservoir.
the tranny dipstick is at rear of the engine on the drivers side of the car the tranny dipstick is at rear of the engine on the drivers side of the car the tranny dipstick is at rear of the engine on the drivers side of the car
is there a tranny dipstick on a 2003 ford explorer 2 wheel drive or an idiot light?
I believe that it has no dip-stick for tranny. I think it is sealed, meaning you have to change or add through plug on side of tranny compartment itself.
if it is a 4 speed there is no tranny dipstick
there is not one
I am assuming you are talking about an auto trans. If so it may not have one. Look at the top of the trans there may be a red cap.
The fluid goes in where the dipstick for the tranny is, pull the dipstick out and put the fluid into the dipstick tube.
On my '96, that dipstick is located near the firewall more or less, under and to the left (when facing the firewall from the front of the car) of the master cylinder.
