To the first answer, the person may have been confused as there are 2 dipsticks, every car has an oil dipstick, but manual/stick shift transmisisons do not have a dipstick for their oil like Automatics, wipe it clean, make sure the vehicle is level, and pay attention to temp as hot oil expands and therefore raised the fluid quantity.
