follow the spark plug wires from the point where they go to the spark plug in the block up to the top of the engine and they will all meet on top of the distributor cap. ON THE VAN, YOU CAN VIEW IT BY REMOVING THE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY, COMPLETELY, HOSES AND ALL BRACKETS. JOEDI

You probably mean a Ford E150 van. On my 1994 E150, the thermostat is behind the air cleaner. Remove the aircleaner assembly. Remove the air hoses that go to the throttle body. You will then see the upper radiator hose. The thermostat is located where the hose enters the engine. You probably mean a Ford E150 van.
