just behind the starter motor on a 1994 harley Davidson sportster is what looks like some sort of oil-outlet hose does anyone know where this hose is connected to
Follow the hose that goes to the frame from the oil tank. Loosen the clamp and pull.
Look for the oil line coming off the oil tank connected to the bottom of the frame.Remove clamp, pull hose off and let drain.
My Sportster has a drain hose that attaches to the oil tank and crosses over to the opposite side of the bike. It is hose clamped to something like a lug on the bottom of the bike frame.
The drain hose is connected to a nipple underneath the battery tray.
Nowhere. It is the vent hose for the carb.
on mine, the drain hose is connected to the battery tray on the left side of the bike. ( look for a hose under the battery tray, remove the hose clamp to disconnect hose and drain oil )
On a 1986-2003 there is a drain hose. Look under the motor and there is a rubber hose with a worm clamp on it, it attaches to a bung on the frame. Loosen the clamp and remove the hose from the bung.
There is a Hose with a Clip attached to the Left Side of the Frame underneath the Primary Cover. Remove the Clip and Pull the Drain Plug in the Hose..
there is no need for an engine oil drain plug, because when the oil filter is removed and the oil is drained from the oil tank (by way of the oil tank drain hose located by/under the battery box) there is no oil that remains in the engine.
TAKE OFF HOSE CLAMP UNDER CRANK CASE AND DRAIN OIL
