Most blocks of the same displacement are the same even in different years of manufacture, so this may answer your question: On my 1991 Sierra pickup with a 4.3 v6, the passenger side drain plug is between the starter and the engine mount just above the oil pan rail; the driver's side drain plug is between the oil filter and the engine mount just above the oil pan rail [directly across from the other drain plug] the knock sensor is the drain plug here.
The engine coolant drain plug, on a 1998 Ford expedition, is located on the bottom of the radiator. The drain plug will come out by turning to the left.

It's on the bottom of the radiator, and there's also a coolant drain plug somewhere on the block, but I've never flushed the coolant on mine, so I don't know exactly where. Don't forget to let the engine cool COMPLETELY before you do this. It's not just a matter of you getting burnt, you could also damage the engine if you drain the coolant or oil while its hot.

The coolant temp sensor screws into the thermostat housing. This is located where the top radiator hose connects to the engine.

The coolant level sensor on a 2.4 L is under front of the coolant reservoir towards the engine. It has a 2-wire connector on it.
The engine oil drain plug is located at the lowest point of the engine oil pan. It should take a 15mm wrench to remove it CCW.
The easiest way to drain the coolant on a Northstar is to pull the lower radiator hose off. There is a petcock on the lower left (driver side) of the radiator but it's almost impossible to get to without a special tool.
