It is located under the Coolant reservoir. First remove the air intake filter box and boot, remember to remove the 2 wire harness attached to the box assembly. Looking underneath/behind the coolant reservoir you will see a 5/16 steel line stemming up from the exhaust manifold along side the head. You will need a 25mm wrench and a 16mm wrench to turn opposite each other.
Remove the wire harness from the EPS. When removing the old sensor be careful not to damage the steel line. That's it!
The exhaust back pressure sensor on a 2006 6.0 diesel Ford F3 50 can be located near the exhaust manifold. The sensor is a probe that can be removed by loosening the nut.
A Ford diesel diagnostic code P0470 means there is an exhaust pressure sensor malfunction. This may be caused by faulty exhaust back pressure sensor, or pressure sensor is open or shorted.
On a 2001 Ford Excursion 4x4 diesel, the exhaust pressure sensor is typically located on the passenger side of the engine, near the turbocharger. It is mounted on the exhaust manifold or the exhaust pipe, often connected by a metal tube that leads to the exhaust system. Accessing it may require removing some components, so ensure to consult a repair manual for detailed guidance.
On a 2006 Ford F-350 diesel, the exhaust gas pressure sensor is typically located on the exhaust manifold or near the turbocharger. It is usually positioned in the exhaust system, often on the driver's side, close to the EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) system. Accessing it may require removing some components for better visibility and reach. Always consult a repair manual for precise location and installation details.
The exhaust back pressure sensor or EBP on the 04 is located by the upper radiator hose by the block. It has a 3 pin connector and accepts a 24mm socket.
the sensor is under the exhaust manifold at the rear of the engine
driver side on front of head, just follow the tube from the exhaust manifold on the drivers side and its there.
The Exhaust Back Pressure Control Valve Module is located in the front part of the Engine Compartment. It is just ahead of the Fuel Filter assembly, and behind the belt tensioner. It is powered by a three plug connecting wires harness.

Could be a diesel? If not then replace your oxygen sensor on your exhaust. A bad oxygen sensor causes the exhaust smoke to be dark in color.
In a 2007 Ram 3500 Diesel 6.7, the Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT) sensor for bank 1 is typically located in the exhaust manifold or in the exhaust downpipe just after the turbocharger. This sensor monitors the temperature of the exhaust gases to help manage emissions and engine performance. Accessing it may require lifting the vehicle or removing some engine components, depending on the specific layout and configuration.
The oxygen sensor is located on the exhaust manifold and is the only item on the exhaust with wires going to it.
