If you have the system with the CD Changer and the auto temp controls you probably have the Infinity Speakers. If so, each speaker has an amplifier attached to the speaker itself. The amplifiers are triggered by a relay in the fuse box. If you are trying to install an after market stereo because yours cooked (they do this quite a bit) you have to jumper the relay. The other option is to pay someone huge dollars to rewire your fuse block. The last option is to install aftermarket speakers. Good luck with your Dodge electrical gremlins!!
In a 2002 Grand Caravan, the factory amplifiers are attached to the back of each speaker. In order to remove these, you must first jumper the relay which is located in the fuse box.
The 1997 Grand Caravan Infinity amp can be located behind the stereo system. The stereo system will need to be removed in order to access the amp.
