I have a 1993 Ford Explorer. There is no fill plug for Transmission Fluid.

I imagine that the 1994 Ford Explorer would be similar.

To fill, use a funnel and pour the transmission fluid directly into the

tube that holds the dipstick. Do not fill past the full line on the tank

On any Ford Explorer that does not have a dipstick their is a plug in the pan under the SUV it wakes a special filler adapter from autozone to fill the transmission. Cost roughly about $9 with tax, you will also need a transfer pump also bought their.

I believe the fill plug is on the drivers side of the transmission - with the vehicle level , clean the area around the fill plug and then remove the fill plug and see if the fluid level is level with the bottom of the hole. ( IT IS THE UPPER PLUG , THE LOWER PLUG IS THE DRAIN PLUG )
