Hey Linda==Look at the left side of the steering column under the dash. GoodluckJoe - If you are sitting in the drivers seat it is to the right of
the steering column, if you are on the floor looking up, it is on the left.
You need to remove the plastic panel (three screws) and look to the right of the column all the way to the right where you removed the panel. Sometimes the clip that holds the flasher jiggles loose from the dash and the circuit is incomplete. It must be reattached to a metal portion of the dash. You may not need a new flasher. miramesares
If you're looking for the hazard light flasher it's located to the bottom left of the floor of the driver's side (to the left of the brake pedal). If you're looking for the signal light flasher it's right near the steering column. It's a little harder to find but it is there. .
You'll need a 10mm short socket or ratcheting wrench(ideal because of small space) and a 6mm socket(use an extension here to save your back). Remove the plastic panel covering the base of the steering column (3 x 6mm hex screws w/washers, left, center and right). Don't confuse this with the small plastic box immediately around the base of the steering wheel. Remove the plastic panel carefully so as not to break off the retaining tabs toward the top. On the right near the base of the exposed steering column you should see a silver electrical box about the size of a box of matches with a wire plugged into the high end. There are 2 10mm hex screws holding it to the frame. Remove them and move the box out of the way. Avoid unplugging the wires. Lie on your back and look up into the area near the column and locate the flasher. It should be on the left up high as viewed from this position. There is a retaining clip that holds it in place. Slide it off the metal tab and it should be easier to fish it out. Replace the flasher and then reverse the procedure used to get at it. Some engineer had fun creating this configuration!! Allow an hour.
