The 1988 VW flasher relay switch can be found behind the drivers side dashboard. The flasher relay switch will be behind the far left hand side of the dashboard.
The turn signal flasher on the 1987 Volkswagen Cabriolet 1.8 liter FI SOHC 4-cylinder is mounted in the fuse panel. Look under the dashboard on the driver's side.
You can, but it's not recommended. The best sizes for the Cabriolets are 13"-15".
over top of fuse panel you will see or feel the relays.the top row second relay is your fuel pump relay
If it the the newer body style the flasher is built in to the emergency flasher switch. Replace that and it is fixed. If it is the A3 body style it will be a relay in the relay box. Any VW parts person can tell you the exact location in the relay box.
i need a owner manual 91 vw cabriolet convertible
The fuse and relay panel is under the dash on the drivers side near the left kick panel.
It is part of the hazard light button on the upper right of the speedometer - clock unit.
The 1998 VW Golf flasher unit can be found beneath the drivers side dashboard. The flasher unit relay switch will be above the gas pedal.
It's underneath the fuse box. Remove the glove box and then undo 3 screws on the fuse box - the relay switch is there (black)
I have '92 Cabriolet and just had this happen to me. It was a good sized relay under the dash under the glove box - pretty easy to get to. This relay also happened to fix an issue with the power sprayer for the windshield which wasn't working. I'm not a mechanic so this is only observation - don't know if the relay controls both. Bought the relay at GermanAutoParts.com for about $130.00.
No, it is not.
