An electrical fuel pump.
in injector pump
no the vortec is computerize and that runs the fuel pump At a greater pressure than be atained by a mechanicle fuel pump.
Check the pressure regulator, fuel filter and fuel pump.
drivers side of engine right behind injector pump
Yes the pump feeds them or you could just unplug injector(s)
The fuel injector pressure regulator is located in the injector fuel pump. Most pressure regulators cannot be separated from the fuel injector pump.
The fuel pump module is located in the gas tank. It is accessed through the trunk. Under the carpet.
All 1997 GM vehicles were fuel injected and all had the electric fuel pump mounted in the fuel tank. None had a mechanical fuel pump mounted on the engine block. A 97 Chevy 350 Vortec uses an electric fuel pump and sender assembly in the fuel tank. If it is a true 1997 block, then it doesn't have a place for a fuel pump on the block.
Gas tank is empty...gauge could be wrong. Clogged or blocked fuel line. Dirty fuel filter. Bad fuel pump.
The 1997 Cadillac Deville fuel pressure regulator can be found on top of the engine. The fuel pressure regulator will be near the fuel injector pump.
this is most likely a bad injector. Try a tank of premium gas and Lucas injector cleaner. If it still misses, you probably need to change an injector.
