I changed the wife's on her 1997 Seabring JXI Conv. Had to drop gas tank down a bit.(loosen straps.) the filter is on the to rear of the tank. The fuel filter for LXi is located inline beneath the passenger compartment and is not easily accessible. I would also suggest checking your VIN to determine the proper fuel filter needed as there is a significant price difference both for the filter AND any labor if you hire a mechanic to change it out.
