Its on a frame rail under the car back by the fuel tank. I believe its on the driver's side, if I remember right, but it could be on the passengers frame rail. Passanger side frame rail just in front of the gas tank and rear axle

The original Crown Victoria was only produced from 1955 to 1956. The name was revived in 1978 and applied to the full sized LTD (the midsize LTD was succeeded by the Ford Taurus).
