I don't know about a 1983, but the fuel filter on a 1991 is mounted on the left INNER fender, below the master cylinder. .

It should be next to the firewall in the engine compartment, if you are facing the engine with the hood up. It will be on the left side possibly attached to a metal clip that just pops off, you will see a duel spout on it with two hoses (1 hose per spout) coming out each spout. It will more then likely have an arrow on the filter showing which way the fuel goes in and which way it comes out. Email me if you need instructions on how to take it off and such.

Answer All oil pans are located on the bottom of the motor. Turn the nut till it loosens completely and drain the oil out. Look for the oil filter, it shouldn't be far from the drain and change that too.

You can find the vacuum line diagram for the 1983 Toyota Corolla in most Chilton's manuals for that model and year of vehicle. You can also find this diagram at many auto repair shops or libraries.

No. Toyota changed the Corolla from rear to front wheel drive in 1983 for the 1984 Model year, with the exception of the SR5 Corolla, all other Trims and sub~models were Front WD
