On the 1989 civic lx, the fuel filter is to the left of the fuel injector system. Follow the fuel line to a metallic enlarged looking pancaked shaped filter on the back wall of the engine compartment area, and that would be in front of the center of the dashboard area, as it were. I assume it's the same with an 88, so check there first..

I don't have a 1988 honda civic sedan. But if someone did, and that sedan had 14 inch wheels, then yes they would fit on them.

No, the 1986 design is structurally different from the 1988 design. They may look similar, but they are very different in size and shape.
The blower motor is located on the passenger side behind the clove compartment. If you look up from underneath the clove box you can see it.
