the fuel filter is located in the gas tank don't do it your self gasolin is very flameble The fuel filter is always located in one of two places. It is either located in the fuel tank, or somewhere between the engine and fuel tank. Get down under the car and follow the fuel lines from the tank forward, you will find it. If you don't see it, then it is in the tank. It is part of the fuel pump unit in the gas tank. Luckily it is really easy to get to since you just have to pry up the back seat. There should be a small panel underneath that you can pry up, unscrew about ten bolts and pull the unit out of the tank(I think you have some sort of electrical connection to disconnect as well). If you have to replace this it should really only take about 30 minutes max and can be done with basic hand tools. Don't take it to a mechanic or the dealership to get fixed.
