I Have the same truck. It's on the drivers side up underneath the exhaust and everything. Now, believe it or not, Toyota says u never have to replace it, mostly like becasue of where it's at. My freind who is a mechanic say he never heard of such nonsense. Anyway, he had to take the driver side tire off and go in through the wheel well. He said it took him a while, but it was so clogged he said he couldn't even blow through it. He put a new one it and it runs great. I had, at the time about 130K on it. I guess Toyota doesn't figure you'd drive it that long to where replacing it would be an issue.
Find a Mechanic who will do it and tell him IT CAN BE DONE!
Answeragreed with last answer....just changed mine today.and it was only 3 hr jobleft wheel on, but jacked up truck for clearanceand best bet to save forearms from useless battering, remove p/s hoses for easiest accessWiki User
