this is a question that depends on what exact model you have. for example, my "2007 silverado 1500 4.3L V6 WT" has the fuel filter as part of the fuel pump, which is located in the gas tank. my model would have too have the complete fuel pump replaced in order to have the fuel filter replaced. it gets expensive. vehicles these days are made too be put in the shop too be fixed, and with the majority of licensed drivers on the road these days that own vehicles these days, normally vehicles year 2000 and up, do not have the experience too change most or almost anything on their own vehicle. i found that on my truck the IACV, fuel pump, purge valve silinoide, and vent silinoide, all have too be bought from manufacture. the vehicles are now made for the owners having too bring too the manufacture in order for them too made their money.
