Depends on which engine, In the case of My '84 Suburban C20, I have a 454 V8, If you remove the air filter housing to get a good view of the carbeurator, you will see the the fuel line going in to the carb in the left side toward the front, it will be very noticeable because it is roughly a 1/4 inch pipe held in by huge 3/4 inch nut, the fuel filter is inside this fitting inside the carb, just unscrew the fitting holding the fuel line and you'll find the fuel filter inside.
