I have an '87 Rebel and my bike does not have a fuel filter. They do have fuel screens however.
This should give you a good idea of where the screen is:

Simple answer YES ALL CARS HAVE FUEL FILTERS!!
According to this URL: http://www.car-stuff.com/carparts/hondaodyssey20012004oeservicew0133-17867821.html "This vehicle (2001 Honda Odyssey van) does not have an in-line fuel filter between the fuel tank and the engine. Use this filter set when replacing the fuel strainer located inside the fuel tank, which is the only fuel filter on this vehicle." signed, each_one_teach_one
Where is the fuel filter on the Honda civic 2001
My 2004 Rebel does NOT have a fuel gauge. Would be handy though.
I inquired here about the location of the fuel filter on my 2001 Accord Lx. The answer I got was that it was in the fuel tank and that there was no need to replace it. I don't know if that would be the same for your car. Try calling a Honda dealer's service shop.
